I am not afraid to say I was wrong. I was wrong when I said that women wear makeup for men. I have realized that not all women are like that and it was very wrong of me to accuse everyone of that. I will most probably never change my opinion on makeup. I am 100% against it. But it has taken me a while to finally learn that women wear it for self confidence. Women look at themselves and say "I'm not perfect." They think that makeup will solve all of their problems. That is not true. Makeup will just create more problems. Some makeup actually hurts your skin and damages it. Why are we wearing something that will make us fake? Don't you want people to look at you and say "Wow! She's not wearing makeup! She's all natural! That's her real face! It's so much more beautiful than the lipstick, mascara, eyeliner and blush that she would wear!" Don't you want people to see the real you and say to themselves that you're more beautiful without makeup? Why should makeup be our only source of self confidence? Phoebe Baker Hyde stopped trying to make herself even more "perfect". She "Skipped Lipstick, Ditched Fashion, Faced the World without Concealer, and Learned to Love the Real Me".
She felt more confident than ever. She even wrote a book about it called The Beauty Experiment . We should all embrace the real us. There are better ways to gain confidence.
